A loan of $1,200 helped to purchase cows.

Aichurok's story

Aichurok is a 62-year-old widow and mother of two. She acts as the main provider for her family. For 30 years, she has worked in crop farming and animal husbandry, a business she started with 20,000 som (KGS). Thanks to her tireless work, today Aichurok's farm has two calving dairy cows and five heads of sheep and goats, and her animal husbandry brings in profits of about 3,000 som (KGS) a month. Aichurok also works 1.8 hectacres of land, where she grows beans, potatoes and perennial herbs and grasses. Income from this part of the business is seasonal.

Looking towards the long-term development of her business, Aichurok applied for a 55,000 som (KGS) loan at Bai Tushum & Partners. The loan is for the purchase of dairy cows with the goal of increasing milk production. With the income created by the loan, Aichurok plans to invest in the further development of her business by expanding her land cultivation.
