René Antonio's story

René is 63 years old, he has five children and he is an hard-working man who has been a farmer for 30 years. He has learned the job from his parents, and the fact that he has lived in a farm since he was young has also been of help. He has worked in the country and with cattle all his life, staring by milking cows and doing some farm work; through this mean he has succeeded in earning everything eh now possesses.

He buys the products he needs in a municipality, reaching it on foot and walking for a few kilometers; he then gets on a vehicle that brings him to a bus station where he gets on a bus that takes him to his destination in forty-five minutes.

The loan he is requesting to Fundación Campo will be used to buy four sacks of seeds, three sacks of fertilizers for his corn crops and one quintal (1 quintal = 46 kg) of special manure for his papaya crops. Thanks to the purchase of corn her will make with this loan he will succeed in saving some money, and he wants to plant papaya on a surface of 7,000 square meters, as he owns a well that will make it easier to work on his crops. Through these means he will succeed in gaining a better income to provide for his family.
