A loan of $1,075 helped to buy stock merchandise for his store.

Tomas De Jesús's story

Tomas de Jesús has lived in the Department of Masaya, known as City of Flowers, for 49 years. He’s married and his children are all now independent; his only dependent is his nephew who he adopted when he was little.

Tomas has a grocery store that he manages alongside his wife. Between the two of them they’ve been getting ahead; the store is located at home. He also goes out to sell lottery tickets; he’s been a sales agent for 24 years and this helps too. When he’s not at the store it’s because he’s out selling lottery tickets and his wife stays at the store.

He comments that he does not like being idle and at his age still very much wants to get better at what he does. He approached the Ceprodel office to request a loan that will make it possible for him to fill an order. He has customers from the countryside and that’s where most of his clientele is concentrated and he wants to take advantage of the fact that they buy from him at wholesale. He states that he’s very grateful for Ceprodel’s services since interest rates are very low and this is why he likes working with Ceprodel when it’s about loans.
