Atuwezeshe Group's story

Wineza, age 35, is an entrepreneur and leader of the business group Atuwezeshe. She is the mother of six children, and her husband is a teacher. She is a merchant and part owner of a small pub. She started out with financial help from Hekima and has since completed five loan cycles with the MFI. Despite heavy taxes, she has been able to run a successful business. She will use this new loan to stock up on beverages and buy 6 cases of Fanta, 3 cases of Aigle, 4 cases of Primus, 2 cases of Mutzig, etc. She wants to see her children grow up, and she would also like to expand her business. Wineza wishes to thank the Hekima MFI for its microfinance program for entrepreneurs.
