Kiria's story

Kiria, 36, is a very hardworking, determined woman who very much wants to get ahead. Her spouse is Flaubert who is a policeman and the father of their two children who are 10 and 5 years old.

Her activity is selling beer and soft-drinks. She has a small space at home dedicated to this business. She’s managed to buy a refrigerator where she stores all the beverages. Her house is located in a zone where there are many sawmills and because of this she has many customers. She’s been in this business for more than four years and to date works alone. She likes her business because it generates income to help her spouse cover household expenses. In addition, she can work from the comfort of home and have time to do other things.

This is MFP loan #11 for her which is why she’s grateful to all the people who give her the opportunity to access financing to be able to make her plans a reality. On the other hand, she comments that she’s comfortable in her communal bank because she knows all the members and considers them to be responsible, supportive people.

She will use the requested 2000 new soles to buy 20 cases of beer and 8 cases of soft-drinks which cost on average between 1000 and 1200 soles. She will use part of the money to equip the space where she tends to customers.
