A loan of $400 helped to buy more stock merchandise for her store.

Julieta's story

Julieta, 34, is a hardworking, very enterprising woman. Her long-time partner is Pablo with whom she has three children who are 15, 8 and 6 years old. She lives in a house they were able to build after long years of work and saving.

She has had a grocery store installed at home for four years. She usually works alone but on occasion gets help from her children; she feels happy to be able to share a business that benefits all of them. She enjoys her work because it gives her free time to do other household chores. The store generates good profits because there are always customers interested in the products she sells and she also sells at wholesale to merchants who are her customers too. She very much wants to continue improving and expanding her business to become a successful businesswoman.

This is her second MFP loan and she thanks all those who make the loan possible so she can continue towards her objectives. On her part, she commits to make her installment payments punctually. She is very happy to be part of her communal bank because all the members are very kind, supportive people.

She will use the requested 1000 soles to buy larger amounts of groceries and basic staple items to stock her store.
