Fazil's story

Fazil is a 46-year-old man and IDP (Internally Displaced Person) who lives in the Bilasuvar IDP Settlement with his wife and two children. He is a farmer and has raised seasonal fruits and vegetables for the past 14 years. During these years, Fazil gained enough skills and experience to run the business. He chose this crop business because it is profitable and fresh fruits and vegetables are in high demand.

People use fresh vegetables every day and consider them healthy; many national dishes are made of vegetables, like pilau and dolma. Fresh fruits serve every table in Azerbaijan families and also make fresh punch. He usually sells his crop in the central bazaar. His monthly income is 120 AZN (Azerbaijani new manat).

As these products are in high demand, Fazil wants to expand his business and produce more fruits and vegetables to cover market demand. For this purpose, he applied for 1,300 AZN. He will buy new garden tools, seeds and fertilizers. This will be his second loan, and he has a good client history.
