A loan of $575 helped to buy more fruit.

Patricia's story

Patricia, 27, is a hardworking, dedicated woman who very much wants to get ahead. Her spouse is Juan who works in transportation and who is the father of their two children who are 8 and 2 years old; they all live together in the house they worked hard to buy.

She sells fruit and soft-drinks. To do so she sets up a table every morning in her front yard. She started more than two years ago with her own capital and to date her sister helps her tend to customers. She considers the business to be quite profitable because of the profits it nets and the high demand her products have. She started the business because she needed to earn income to help her spouse with household expenses and to provide a better quality of life for her children. Therefore, seeing the good results she’s been having, she wants to continue all the way to establishing a store at home where she can more comfortably display everything she has available for sale.

This is her third MFP loan and she thanks all the people who make the financing possible so she can continue towards making her plans a reality. She also enjoys being part of her communal bank because all the members are responsible, mutually supportive people.

She will use the requested 1500 new soles to buy fresh fruit (citrus fruit, bananas and others) to continue with her business.
