A loan of $575 helped to purchase corn seeds and fertilizers.

Analy's story

Analy is 23 years old and has two children: Carlos, age 5 and Aymar, age 3, whom she cares for diligently in a house that is simple, but her own. She has worked in agriculture for the past 5 years and although it is a tiring job, it has its gratifying side. Thanks to her community, she possesses three plots of land where she produces plaintains, annato, corn, coffee, and citrus fruits. With the help of her family members (parents and siblings) she can tend to all of her crops. She states that the most tedious task is clearing weeds; another tiring task is the harvests, especially the coffee harvest. Analy invests a lot of money in the payment of labor, fertilizers and seeds, but she states that she obtains good profits from the sales. Now she plans to plant corn.

This is her third loan with MFP and she gives her word that she will make her monthly payments punctually. Moreover, she belongs to the communal bank “Unión Orito”, whose members are and organized.

This time Analy will plant corn, so she will invest the money in seeds and fertilizers.
