Saroeut's Group's story

Originally from the village of the Kror Lanh district of Siem Reap province, Saroeut is 28 years old and married with only one daughter. To make a living, she and her husband have been working as paid workers in the local area for several years. The current work earns her family about 10,000 KHR per day and they manage to save about KHR 5,000 each day after the family's expenses.

This is the first micro loan for Saroeut's group with Kiva's partner, VisionFund. As the leader, she is leading the other three members in her group to apply for a loan of KHR 1,000,000 each. She will use her portion to buy some materials to build a latrine for her family. This loan will enable her family to have a decent, clean latrine for consumption to improve living environment and have good health.
