A loan of $1,275 helped to establish pastures.

Filomena's story

Doña Filomena is 54 years old and lives in the region of Santa Rita. Since she was young her father taught her fieldwork, which is where she develops her primary earning activity and establishment of roots and tubers. This is an area of great economic importance for the region, as this activity provides income to support her family.

She is a good person, loved by her neighbors and friends; she is polite, responsible, and from a good family. She works in conjunction with her family unit.

She is asking for her first loan to buy improved pastures so that she can reap them for her farm. This will allow her to keep her cattle herd well nourished and so they will increase in weight to make a better profit when marketed. She shows an excellent cattle inventory, and has the capacity and willingness to make payments.

Her dream is to keep her unit output in good standing and improve her quality of life.
