A loan of $400 helped to buy paint and building supplies.

Margarita's story

Margarita is a member of the “Santa Rosa de Lima” (Saint Rose of Lima) communal bank in Yarinacocha District, Ucayali Department. She’s 21-years-old, single and has no children. She’s been working with Manuela Ramos loans for almost three years. Her first loan was for 300 new soles. Her business is renting out rooms (she has 14 rooms).

She will use her 1,000 new sol loan to buy 1 bucket of paint, six sheets of plywood, 1 kilo of nails, 100 pieces of lath and 10 meters of wire mesh.

At her young age she has a business of her own that generates monthly income. Ten rooms are occupied. She’s able to help her mother with household expenses with this income and she can also satisfy some of her own desires. She thanks Manuela Ramos for granting all the loans she requests and that she knows how to invest.
