Ana's story

Ana is a 70 years old and a widow. She is the mother of four children, ages 38 to 52.

She is a merchant, and sells products through specialized guides or catalogs, a business she started 10 years ago. She has always had a natural inclination toward business, and in order to not become a burden for her family, she decided to work with her greatest strength, which is her ability to sell.

Her home is located is a very busy part of the city, and the flow of people that walk by boosts her daily sales.

Ana sells miscellaneous items such as stationery, sewing supplies, clothing, and personal hygiene items. She carries out her sales for cash, and her purchases in the same way. She opens her store daily from 8:00 in the morning to 7:00 at night, when her last customer leaves, and from Monday to Sunday.

Her business has received a previous loan from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, and with this she managed to increase her purchasing capacity. That is why she is very enthusiastic, and is currently applying for a credikiva loan. By this means, she will again invest in a variety of merchandise, such as dresses, personal hygiene items and women's accessories. This is what sells best in the market, and will make her investment very successful.
