A loan of $1,500 helped to purchase school uniforms.

Uulkan's story

Uulkan is 47 years old, married and is a mother of two children. In search of a source of income for her family, she started her own business in sales of children's and school clothing in 2009 with an initial sum of 30,000 som (KGS). Thanks to persistence and hard work, Uulkan was able to develop her business to have a monthly income of 15,000 som (KGS). Today, there is not an abundance of merchandise variety, and this is why Uulkan requested a loan in the amount of 70,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to purchase school uniforms prior to the start of the school season. She plans to invest the earnings from the loan into business development because she plans to educate her son at a university.
