A loan of $1,725 helped to purchase dairy cows.

Makhburat's story

Makhburat is 40 years old and raising four children. To provide the primary source of income for her family, she is involved in animal husbandry and farming. The business, started thirteen years ago with an initial sum of 1,000 som (KGS), today contains one dairy cow with offspring and 2.04 hectares of irrigated land, where she grows cotton, corn and rice. The monthly profit from the business amounts to about 10,000 som (KGS). In order to further develop her business, Makhburat requested a loan in the amount of 80,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to buy dairy cows in order to increase milk volumes and sales of dairy products. She plans to invest the earnings into a continued expansion of her business in order to have an ability to pay for her children's education.
