A loan of $200 helped to buy fertilizer for her farmland.

Rorn's story

Living in a rural village located in the Kandal Stoeng district, Rorn is 37 years old and married. She has three children, two of whom are dependent on her and still in school while the other is a garment factory worker. Rorn is a rice farmer in the local area while her husband is a motor taxi driver to help support the family's earnings. She and her husband have been in these businesses for 15 years and 10 years, respectively. Together, they can earn about 8 USD per day. This is the first loan for Rorn with Kiva's partner VisionFund. Now requesting a loan, she is going to use it to buy fertilizer for her farmland and use a portion of it for land plowing. She hopes this loan will enable her to grow her rice strong and also hopes to improve her family's living condition.
