A loan of $450 helped a member to buy grains (cassava flour, corn) and some oil to sell.

Deo-Gratias Group's story

The group DEO-GRATIAS comprises three persons who reside in the same district. This is the sixth time this group has requested financial aid from ALIDé to boost business. The group's representative, Séraphine, is the one in the photo with her hand raised. She is 30 years old and married. The couple have four children, not all in school but all in their care. Séraphine lives together with her children and husband. The couple share in covering the different household expenses. To help with different family needs, Séraphine has been selling grains (cassava flour, corn) and oil out of her home. This work enables her to meet her needs without much problem. She gets her supplies from a market in Benin. Seeking to satisfy her customers and to increase her sales and revenues, Séraphine, along with the other members of the group DEO-GRATIAS, is requesting a sixth loan from ALIDé. This loan will enable them to raise their level of business and to grow their customer base and their revenues. The previous loans were indeed paid back.
