A loan of $1,425 helped a member to buy plastic utensils to sell.

Bidossessi Group's story

The group BIDOSSESSI comprises seven persons who reside in the same district. This is the second time this group has requested financial aid from ALIDé to boost business. The group's representative, Anne, is the one in the photo with her hand raised. She is 41 years old and married to a mason named Cyprien. Anne did not go to school. The couple have five children, not all in school. One of the children remains in their care. Anne lives together with her husband and children, and along with her husband. The couple share in covering the different household expenses.

To help with different family needs, Anne has been selling plastic utensils at a market in Benin for twenty years. This business enables her to meet her needs without much problem. She gets her supplies from a market in Benin.

Seeking to satisfy her customers and to increase her sales and revenues, Anne, along with the other members of the group BIDOSSESSI, is requesting a second loan from ALIDé. This loan will enable them to raise their level of business and to grow their customer base and their revenues. The first loan was indeed paid back.
