Wuibatin Group's story

The Wuibatin group is composed of three people living in the same house. It is the fourth time that the group is requesting financial support from ALIDé in order to expand their business. The group’s representative, by the name of Christine, is the one raising her hand in the photo. Christine is 41 years old. Her husband’s name is Désiré. Christine has had little school education. She is the mother of two children, both in in school and in her care. Christine lives with her children. The spouses provide for various family needs. In order to meet her expenses, for 11 years Christine has been selling miscellaneous items (snacks, canned food) in her neighborhood. This business allows her to provide for her needs without great difficulty. Christine stocks up at a market of Benin as well as in her region. With the goal of satisfying customer expectations and increasing her sales volume and her revenues, Christine, together with the other members of the Wuibatin group, is seeking her fourth loan from ALIDé. This loan will allow the group members to expand their businesses, growing their customer base and their revenues. The prior loans have been duly repaid.
