A loan of $550 helped a member to buy various goods (canned foods, pasta, and soap).

Gloire A Dieu Group's story

The group GLOIRE A DIEU comprises three persons who reside in the same district. This is the third time this group has requested financial aid from ALIDé to boost business. The group's representative, Patricia Émilienne, is the one in the photo with her hand raised. She dropped out of secondary school, is 43 years old, and no longer lives with her husband. The couple have two children, both in school and in their care. Patricia Émilienne lives alone with her children. The couple share in covering the different household expenses.

To help with different family needs, Patricia Émilienne has been selling a variety of goods (canned foods, pasta, soap) in her district. This business enables her to meet her needs without much problem. She gets her supplies from a market in Benin.

Seeking to satisfy her customers and to grow her sales and revenues, Patricia Émilienne, along with the other members of the group GLOIRE A DIEU, is requesting a third loan from ALIDé. This loan will enable them to raise their level of business and to grow their customer base and their revenues. The previous loans received were indeed paid back.
