A loan of $775 helped a member to buy grains and containers of vegetable oil to sell.

Ayessi Group's story

The group AYESSI comprises three persons who reside in the same district. This is the fourth time this group has requested financial aid from ALIDé to boost business. The group's representative, Christine, is the one in the photo with her hand raised. She is 51 years old and married to a man named Célestin. She did not attend school. The couple have three children, all in school and in their care. Christine lives together with her husband and children. The couple share in covering the different household expenses.

To help with different family needs, Christine has been selling grains and vegetable oil for ten years in her district. This business enables her to meet her needs without much problem. Christine gets her supplies from a market in Benin.

Seeking to satisfy her customers and to grow her sales and revenues, Christine, along with the other members of the group AYESSI, is requesting a fourth loan from ALIDé. The previous loans were indeed paid back.
