Efrain's story

Efrain is 48 years old. He is married, has five children, and lives in the town of Morazan, Yoro department. Efrain has been a farmer, but four years ago, decided to have his own business, in order to earn the income necessary to support his family. He has two businesses: one is that he buys fruit and vegetables and sells them as a travelling vendor in his truck, and the other is that he set up a small general store to sell basic household products, such as sugar, rice, bread, beans, corn, coffee, groceries, dairy products, etc. His wife and children run the store. He has decided to request a loan of 15,000 lempiras, in order to buy seasonal fruit and vegetables to sell, and use another part to stock his store business with food products. He hopes that this investment helps him increase sales and to always have working capital set aside. His goal is to improve his quality of life.
