A loan of $1,425 helped a member to purchase grocery items (sugar, rice, ...) to sell.

Anta Coumba's Group's story

"Banc Villageois de And Liggey Yermandé" has been in existence since December 27, 2010. The group PS is composed of two women in the same village who get along well.

Ms. Sokhna, the group's official, is 46 years old, married, and the mother of six children; she is active in fattening sheep and goats and, at the same time, she has a grocery business. She capitalizes on good experience in these two sectors. In the photo, she is at the right dressed in a pink and blue 'boubou' and wearing a white shawl around her shoulders.

She intends to use her loan to purchase rice, millet, sugar, and oil in large amounts to grow her revenues. She helps her husband in meeting day-to-day expenses and ensures that her children's school costs are covered.
