Maguette's Group's story

"Banc Villageois Bokk Jom Sakal" was created on July 1, 2011. It comprises 35 women micro-entrepreneurs who live in the same village. They are related, neighbors, or friends, and their common link is having small businesses.

Maguette, the group's president, is 42 years old. She is a married mother of six children, including three girls. She is active in the small-scale commerce of cosmetic products. In the photo, she is standing at the far right, dressed in a 'wax' cloth outfit, and holding a handbag in her right hand.

She goes to Dakar to stock up on (perfume, skin lotion, …) and resells in Sakal.

She intends to purchase goods worth 150,000 francs, which includes personal contributions of 80,000 francs.

The profits have enabled her to help with family expenses (food, the children's school costs, day-to-day expenses…); bolster her business; and resolve her personal needs.

In this group: Maguette, Seynabou, Fatou, Mbayang, Ngatte, Seynabou, Khady, Coumba Diangane, Ndeye, Binetou, Mbayang Rawane, Fary, Baty, Sokhna, Faty, Dieng, Mangone, Mbayang, Ndioba, Faty, Ngatte, Anta, Aïda, Anta, Aminta, Khady, Oulimata, Ndeye, Thiama, Coumba, Ndeye Adama, Fatou, Fatim, Ramata, Fatou Bintou
