Ofeliya's story

Ofeliya is a 37 years old woman, married, with one daughter. She is an IDP (Internally Displaced Person). She is a very successful entrepreneur and has her own sheep farm. She has been breeding sheep for the last 8 years and is very experienced in this field.

Ofeliya usually buys lambs, raises and fattens them in 4-5 months and resells them for a more profitable price in the local livestock bazaar. Her monthly income is 170 AZN. People use meat in everyday national dishes, such as pilau and dolma, and always use yoghurt sauce. Mutton is considered as very healthy and is also present in everyday life. The wool is very useful for blankets and bed mattresses, made by local woman.

She has applied for 1000 AZN to make renovations of the herd and to improve conditions of keeping her sheep. This will be her second loan and she has a good client history.
