A loan of $1,275 helped to buy two cattle and fodder.

Hacar's story

Hacar is a 44 years old woman, married, with four children. She is IDP (an internally displaced person). Hacar breeds cattle for meat purposes. She also has two milking cows. Her profit consists of cattle sales and selling fresh yoghurt and milk. Her husband is on a pension and helps her to run the business.

Hacar usually buys small calves, raises and fattens them for 5-6 months and then resells for more profitable price from her house. Her monthly income is 130 AZN and this business is the only source of financial income in her family. Meat is in very high demand in Azerbaijan and people use it in everyday dishes like pilau and dolma.

Currently, Hacar has applied for a 1000 AZN loan to buy two cattle and fodder.
