A loan of $4,775 helped a member to increase her stock of potatoes, fish and clothes.

Kulagwa Group's story

Parizadi, who was born 1960, is married with two children who go to school. She has had been selling chips, fish and women's clothes (kanga) for about 20 years now. She works from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm daily and she is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be her 10th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to buy more potatoes and fish and pay school fees and household expenses. She has paid back all of her loans successfully. She hopes for a new loan to increase her stock of potatoes, fish and clothes to resell to many people. Her dream is to one day be able to change her house to be in a good vision and provide her children a quality education.

She will share this loan with her loan group "Kulagwa", which consists of 15 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
