Alejandro's story

Alejandro, 25, is from a humble family of scarce economic resources which is why he farms on very small plots. He lives in the Mizque municipality, Cochabamba department. He’s worked in agriculture and animal husbandry for five years. He grows onions, and beans for his family’s food and sells what’s left over to local merchants from Mizque. Alejandro is a much respected person in his community because of his dedication to work and for being responsible for his family. Alejandro is requesting this loan to buy more onion, potato and bean seeds, chemical fertilizer and other farm chemicals to improve the quality and increase crop yields in order to earn higher income and improve his entire family’s living conditions.
