Kambarage Group's story

Zakayo, who is in his late 20s, is married with three children who go to school. He has been selling charcoal for five years now. He is really working hard; he works from 6.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. daily and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be his third loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loans to buy more sacks of charcoal and pay household expenses and school fees. He has paid back all his loans successfully. He hopes for a loan to buy more sacks of charcoal. His dream is to one day be able to build his own house.

He will share this loan with his loan group, "Kambarage," which has a total of 15 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back their loans.
