A loan of $975 helped to buy large quantities of sand and sawdust to make bricks and tiles.

Dominga's story

Dominga is 45 years old and lives with her husband and children in the house she inherited from her parents. She doesn't have a workshop of her own for making bricks, but this hasn't been a problem as she rents one. She makes bricks and tiles with help from her husband. Dominga hopes to increase production as time goes on and they get more experience and have more working capital. She knows that the business will do well as she has already successfully sold the thousands of bricks they've made to date. Her greatest wish is to buy the land where the bricks are made and no longer have to rent the space. Dominga belongs to to the 'Barrio Oriental' Community Bank and this is her 18th loan with MFP. She is very grateful for the assistance she has received to reach her goals and promises to make the repayments on time. She is also grateful to be part of her group as she has known the other members for a long time. Dominga will use the money from this loan to buy large quantities of sand and sawdust to make the bricks and tiles.
