A loan of $400 helped to buy more sawdust for making bricks.

Zenaida's story

Zenaida is 43 years old. She lives with her husband Fernando, and they have seven children. But now they only live with five of them.

Thanks to savings from her husband's work, she was able to acquire a brick-making operation. She has her family (her daughters and sons-in-law) to help her in the business; that is why she feels happy, as she is able to offer support to her family. “The work is very hard and you need a lot of people," she says.

She already has 20 years of experience; this is why she always has orders from her established customers. She makes 22 thousand bricks a month. Now she wishes to buy new ovens with better technology, as currently she fires the bricks in the traditional country way.

She belongs to the “Los Emprendedores” communal bank, and this is her 18th loan with MFP. Therefore she is grateful for the support they give her in meeting her objectives. She promises to make her installment payments, and is also thankful to be part of her communal bank, as she has known them for many years.

Zenaida will invest the money applied for in the purchase of more sawdust for making the bricks.
