Lali is 49 years old and lives in the Tkibuli district with her large family of seven. She has a husband, a father-in-law and four sons (16, 22, 26 and 27 years old). The youngest son goes to the local school. The 26-year-old son, Eristo, works at a petrol station in the Tkibuli District and gets a monthly salary. Lali’s father-in-law is a pensioner. Her husband works as a security guard in the village school and gets a monthly salary too.
The family's main source of income is their dairy farm. They have two milking cows and pigs. Lali milks the cows every day and produces cheese. Part of the cheese is used by the family, and the rest is sold locally. The family sells piglets in the nearby villages. Along with the livestock, the family owns a vineyard in which they work hard to get a good harvest. They pick grapes in late summer and sell them to local farmers. Although the family works hard, they still don’t have enough income to save and improve their living conditions. Their total average monthly income is 1,000 Laris.
Lali has requested a loan to repair her house, which is very old and damaged. With this loan Lali’s dream will be fulfilled, and she will be able to renovate the house. Thus the family will be able to spend their evenings after their hard-working days in a more comfortable environment. Her loan will ensure better living conditions for the family.
