Barika is 47 years old and lives with her children and husband in a house in the town of Coast Province of Kenya.
Barika has a food selling business, selling in a food stall. She sells a variety of foodstuffs such as dumplings, flat breads, etc. She has gained much business experience in her field.
With her profits earned from the business, she pays the tuition fees of her five children. She is a diligent and open-minded woman who says, "I will devote my everything to my family."
She is requesting a 70,000 KES loan to purchase food ingredients such as wheat and maize flour, cooking oil, rice, sugar,beans, etc.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
