Her canton is known for its moderate climate and its very fertile land, which produces a great many fruits. The land is also conducive to growing the most beautiful flowers and its people are friendly and very gracious. They work daily in different business to move their families ahead, while still maintaining traditional village culture.

She is 31 years old, single and has no children.

María is employed as an indoor maid in the city of Cuenca, a job she has had for two years and she works from Monday to Saturday. At her home in Paute canton she raises pigs, chickens and guinea pigs, which are being cared for by her mother.

She will invest her loan in the purchase of chickens and construction materials to build a new chicken shed.

Her greatest dream is to be able to travel to the United States.
