Nicaragua
Boaco, Nicaragua / Well digging

A loan of $650 helped to buy some mesh and timber.

Felipe Neri's story

Felipe has been making a living through the sale of well construction materials for 22 years now. He says that in his business he employs one other man who helps him with the work. Felipe sells his material to a company that produces potable water in Managua. He says that he would like to increase the number of workers he has because his building materials are in high demand. This is why he needs this loan to buy mesh wire and timber. He uses these to build a number of handmade strainers which are utilized to filter the sands, cement and stones. Building these will help him because the material is already ordered and with more strainers he will be able to fill the order more quickly. He says that once he repaid the loan, he will use the income to invest in improving his house. He also says that here at MiCredito he was treated very well and that he received the loan very quickly.
