A loan of $1,250 helped to buy merchandise for her grocery store.

María Eduwiges's story

Maria is requesting a loan so that she can expand her grocery store business. To do this she needs to invest in more merchandise. This way her store will be gradually growing, and she will have the products on hand that her customers need.

Maria Eduwiges is a very enterprising person. She used to work in a personal residence where she helped out with the household chores. She saved her money, and with a lot of effort she opened her small business and thus became a merchant. This way she could leave her job and become her own boss. She has been stocking up her store gradually with products, and when the grocery store is not profitable she goes out to sell shaved ice in a park that is close to her house. Her husband also works as a salesman for a wholesale grocery firm, and with both of their earnings they have managed to cover the household expenditures.

The main result will be that her grocery store will generate more income, with which she wants to make some small improvements to her house. Also, she will be able to have a better profit margin.
