A loan of $850 helped to buy ingredients for making lunches.

Cielo's story

Cielo is 52, and is the owner of a restaurant located in the city of Cartagena. She makes the meals in her own home, to be distributed to customers in construction companies. She has five children, ages 16 to 36, and dreams of seeing them always be successful.

As a woman head of her household, she started her restaurant 12 years ago. With it she has managed to generate income for her family's well-being and has acquired her own house. Even though she has had many challenges, she has overcome them, and with a great deal of decisiveness and disciplined work has kept her household going.

Cielo has received four loans from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, with which she has managed to build up her small business, increasing her working capital just at the time she needed it most.

Her goal for the future is to locate her business in a very busy commercial space, in order to achieve better positioning in the market. Currently, her greatest challenge is to manage purchases in greater volume so that she can obtain special discounts, as she makes purchases at frequent intervals and this takes a great deal of her time.

This is the reason she is applying for a credikiva loan, her fifth with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. With it, she will buy ingredients for making lunches for various construction company customers, who are her most regular customers and need to be served in keeping with their needs for price, quality and timeliness.
