Karanjung Lestari 2 Group's story

Ni Made is 51 years old and lives in Mengwi, Denpasar Bali. She is married and has three adult children. Her husband works as a driver. Though Ni Made often helps her husband in his work, she also raises pigs in her yard to supplement her family’s income. She has been raising pigs for five years.

Ni Made is the head of the Karanjung Lestari 2 group, which is made up of eight neighbors from the same village. This is the group’s first loan with MUK. With the 3.5M IDR that Ni Made receives, she will purchase one sow for pig breeding. She hopes that the sow will have many piglets, which she will then be able to raise and sell. With her earnings, she plans to purchase more pigs. With the income from her pig raising, she hopes to be able to start another business selling fresh fish.
