Gloria Dolores's story

In the resort of San Clemente del Cantón Sucre, the First of December Community Bank meets every 15 days. This place is known for its beautiful beaches that are visited by many local and foreign tourists. It offers diversity of beautiful places and a rich variety of dishes typical of the region.

In this place lives Gloria. She is 67 years old. Many years ago her dear husband died and she became a widow but from this relationship she has three children who are adults. One of them still lives at home.

After her husband's death, she - to get ahead - started a small hardware store in her house. Along with her son, she works there every day. In her shop, her customers find all types of construction materials and tools. She sells cement, iron, electrical and health materials. She likes to have everything since with this she earns more customers. She has five years' experience with her business and it's going very well since she sells a lot of products daily.

This loan is going to be used to buy all type of construction materials. She's been with the community bank since the beginning and she likes it because the loans have helped her a lot to get ahead.

Her dream is to have a truck to go make purchases and transport the material.
