A loan of $1,500 helped to buy meat, sodas, juices, and other provisions.

María De Lourdes's story

Every 15 days, the Banco Comunal 1 de Diciembre meets in the San Clemente del Cantón Sucre beach resort. This location is known for its beautiful beaches, which are often visited by many domestic and foreign tourists. It offers a diversity of beautiful places and a rich variety of typical regional dishes.

María lives in this location. She is 48 years old and is married. From this relationship, she has three children who are already grown; two of her children live in her house. Her husband is a workman.

She is housewife. To earn a living and to help her husband with the household expenses since he does not earn much, she makes a living selling sandwiches and fast food, in addition to sodas, water, and juices, among other things. She works every day from 3:00 in the afternoon until 9:00 in the event. Her business has been doing well; this is how she contributes to the household expenses, and this contributed much more when her husband was without work. She has spent more than 23 years in this business, which has served to get her family ahead.

This credit is going to be used to buy meat, sodas, juices, and other provisions to prepare her food. She has been with Banco Comunal since it began, and she likes it because the credits are distributed more rapidly and without many requirements.

Her dream is to have a large restaurant.
