Lida María's story

In the resort of San Clemente del Cantón Sucre, the First of December Community Bank meets every 15 days. This place is known for its beautiful beaches that are visited by many local and foreign tourists. It offers a diversity of beautiful places and a rich variety of typical dishes of the region.

In this place lives Lida. She is 60 years old. She is married and, fruit of this relationship, are three children who are adults. One of them still lives at home in her house. Her husband is dedicated to fish and also farming.

She has a small shop in her house. There she works every day but the days when she sells most are weekends since many tourists arrive in this beautiful resort town. She sells sandals, clothing, costume jewelry and many more products but almost all with beach themes, which are requested by her customers who arrive daily in her shop. She has more than 8 years experience with her business and it's going quite well.

This loan is going to be used to stock her shop. She is going to buy sandals, costume jewelry, clothing, etc. She has been in her community bank for more than ten years and she likes it because she started her business with one of the loans and with the subsequent ones she has been improving it day by day.

Her goal is to continue improving her shop.
