A loan of $975 helped to buy seasonal clothing to expand her business.

Jessica Marianela's story

Jessica lives with her husband and children in one of the communities that makes up the agricultural district of Tambogrande, an agricultural area located in the region of Piura, dedicated mainly to the cultivation of fruit trees such as mango and lemons.

Jessica has had a business selling clothing for many years. She began offering merchandise in her home and little by little the demand grew to the point where she now has customers in the villages and surrounding communities, and she travels to these areas constantly offering her products and delivering orders. She puts a lot of effort and enthusiasm into her work as it helps her to feel active and offers the opportunity of helping her husband with support in the economic area. Her daily motivation is to try to give her children a better future.

She has had financial loans funded through Kiva previously and thanks to the support provided her business grows more each day. Jessica wants to continue buying seasonal supplies in order to increase her stock and diversify her merchandise. This is why she is asking for a new loan of 2500 soles to help her achieve her objective.

Jessica is very grateful to the people that helped her with her previous loan and gives thanks in advance to the people that will be helping her now. She sends them blessings.
