Nathali Atenas's story

Nathali is a twenty-six year old woman. She is single and lives with her parents and siblings in the city of Ica, which is in the Parcona district. She is a very friendly, hard-working, and enthusiastic person, and she has a great desire to improve her life. Thanks to her efforts and her parents’ support, she was able to finish her studies in Obstetrics. Now, she is registering with the SERUMS program [Rural and Urban Marginal Health Service] to be able to earn her Obstetrics degree. In her free time she likes to share pleasant moments with her family. Sometimes, she cooks up a delicious dish of rice with duck to pamper them.
On a daily basis, Nathali works at her small business as a children’s party entertainer with lots of determination and enthusiasm. She also rents lighting and sound equipment. Over the course of the week, she entertains an average of three children’s parties, spending approximately eight hours a day working. Nathali is happy working this way since she enjoys children a lot and likes to make them happy.
Nathali is very grateful to the Kiva lenders, since thanks to the help they offer she will be able to purchase a set of lights, cloth, and dolls, as well as hats, whistles, and rattles, among other small items. This way, Nathali will have the necessary supplies to continue with her work. As a result, she hopes to be able to continue working and striving to achieve her dream of becoming a professional and a woman who is able to help her family get ahead.
