A loan of $400 helped to buy fabric rolls and sewing threads.

Marlize's story

Marlize, a married mother of three, lives in the Changamwe area of Coast province, Kenya, where she owns a tailoring shop that she has been operating for 16 years now. Her main challenges are purchasing stock due to high prices of materials and customers delaying payments.

Marlize, who learnt about Milango through a friend who invited her to the group, is requesting a loan of 31,500 Kenya shillings to buy fabric rolls and sewing threads. Her extra income will be added to her savings to pay school fees and access better health facilities. She aspires to expand and open a uniform store.
