A loan of $750 helped a member to buy fertilizers for her farmland.

Vith's Group's story

Vith is a 27-year-old mother of two children, who are still small, living in a village of the Sa Ang district, Cambodia. She is a rice farmer in the local area while her husband is a paid truck driver. She has been in this business for six years, earning about 17,300KHR per day and can save around 9,000KHR each day after expenses. This is the second micro loan for Vith's group with Kiva's partner, VisionFund. She has completely paid back the first loan which has helped her to improve her living conditions. Now she is leading her group to apply for a loan. As the leader, she will use her portion to buy fertilizers for her farmland and use a portion of it for gasoline to carry water into her rice field. She hopes to grow her rice healthily and sell it for a good price to make a better living .
