Ly's Group's story

Living in a wooden house located in a village of the Kror Kor District of Pursat Province, Ly is a 32-year-old mother of two children, who are dependents and still in school. To make a living, she sells some groceries in the village while her husband is paid worker to help support the family. Sometimes, she works for others for a fee to better support her family. She has been in this business for several years. The current business earns her about 20,000 KHR per day and she is able to save about 12,000 KHR each day after expenses.

Ly's group consists of two members who live in the same village; she is the seventh cycled client while her member is just started with VisionFund. The past loans that she completely paid back have helped her better support her business and improve her livelihood. Now, she is leading her group to apply for a loan with VisionFund. She will use her portion to buy a motorbike for her family to support her current business. With this loan, she hopes to increase her family's income and enable her husband to save some time to better care the children.
