A loan of $575 helped to buy 'pagne' cloth in bulk and spools of thread.

Roland's story

Roland is a 46-year-old man who is the father of five children, from 5 to 22 years old, of whom three are still in school. He also has one other person to support. He is a merchant and has opened a sewing supplies store that he has been running for ten years. His business is doing well. His customer base is growing over the course of time, thus the importance of this loan, which will give him the opportunity to expand his business by increasing his stock of merchandise, namely 'pagnes' (the colorful cloth of western Africa) in bulk and spools of thread, as well as sundry supplies for making clothing. He will reinvest part of his profits into his business. The rest will be saved for his children's education.
