Sivorn's Group's story

Sivorn, 33, is a mother of two sons who currently are working at a local organization in the community. She has been involved in producing rice wine as her major source of income. She also raises pigs and sells hashed roll meat wrapped in banana leaves (the most popular dessert in Battambang for Cambodians) for extra income. Sivorn's group consists of two female members; she is the group leader and she is a first-time borrower with VisionFund while the other member is a sixth-time borrower. She and her partner are seeking a new loan of 500,000 KHR and 300,000 KHR, respectively. As the group leader, she will use her loan portion to buy materials for producing her rice wine, including yeast and rice. She expects to make more income so as to improve her living condition.
