A loan of $1,150 helped to invest in the maintenance of her coffee, orange, and plantain crops.

Eudez's story

Eudez is 45 years old and is married to Eduardo. They have eight children together, but currently only five live with them.

She works farming. She has four plots of land which were given to her by the community for living in the area for so many years. On that land, she grows coffee, oranges, and achiote, but coffee is her priority because of its price. "Oranges and achiote have a good price, but coffee alone allows us to cover nearly all of the expenses for the year," she says. That is why she works hard to clear her crops and constantly fertilize her land. But her plots are vast and far away, so she hires workers to speed up the process. She is thinking about expanding her crops and changing the older plants for younger ones in order to obtain better harvests.

This is her third loan with MFP, so she promises to make her monthly installments on time. She belongs to the communal bank Flor de Almendra and says she feels at ease with other responsible members.

Eudez will use this money to maintain her coffee, orange, and plantain crops. She says she will spend the 3000 soles on this process.
