A loan of $3,100 helped a member to buy ingredients (potatoes, chicken, oil, etc.).

El Esfuerzo Es Grande Group's story

Lila, 38, has a partner and five school-aged children. She is a member of the communal bank "El Esfuerzo es Grande" (Effort is Great), a group made up of nine members who work in various trade activities. Lila has worked selling food and popsicles for four years. At night she also sells sandwiches and salchipapas (fried potatoes with hotdogs) from a sandwich cart. Lila started this business with the idea of helping with home expenses since her husband's salary wasn't enough.

Lila works very hard. Thanks to her effort and dedication she has been able to give her children an education, she has built her house, and at the same time, she has given her family a better quality of life. With the goal of continuing to work, she is applying for a new loan to buy ingredients (potatoes, chicken, etc.) Lila will meet her goals with a lot of work and effort. She is grateful to Edaprospo and Kiva for the loan.

In this group: Lila Brina, Doris Marlene, Maria, Sabina Eugenia, Lucia Francisca, Noymi Eufracia, Elia Rolinda, Magdalena, Marcela Marcelina
